Meet Fernanda Pineda and Hanz Rippe Gabriel, who have just concluded their Fellowship. They are the filmmaker duo behind 'The Shadow of Yolüja’ which tells the story of the indigenous Pushaina family, whose dreams turn into nightmares under the shadow of Yolüja, an evil spirit unleashed by the coal mine.

Fernanda and Hanz were awarded the No Nation Film’s Fellowship during the Nuevas Miradas 2023 in Havana. During their six-month Fellowship they worked intensively on interrogating the possibilities of their first co-production with Europe, and they also pitched at Vision du Réel, where they got the Visions Sud Est award.
